Beaufort New Entry Corridor Plans

As many of you know, Beaufort is getting a new Bridge, and with that comes a whole new traffic pattern for getting to the Historic District, as well as other areas of town. In the following links you can see for your self what proposals have been conceptualized for our future.
I think the Corridor Beautification link to be the most interesting, but you take a look and judge for yourselves. Here are a couple of screen grabs from the links below. These are a before and after depiction of Turner Street at Ann, looking South.

The 24th Annual Band the Billfish Tournament is set for this weekend. Weather is shaping up to be fishable.

Although strong winds are dousing offshore dreams in the Barta Boys and Club tournament, they are still giving it their best chasing inshore species. That’s why they call it fishing!

Barta Boys & Girls Prep

Tred Barta and his crew are headed back to Beaufort NC to raise money for the Boys & Girls Club with a very popular fishing Tournament. Preparations are underway; the big tent is raised on Front Street; sponsor banners are displayed on the waterfront railing; provisioning the tent with food and drink, and other logistics are being ironed out this morning, the 19th of July 2012. They are going to have a webcam and if you would like to participate, check out the website.
Also Everyone is pleased that Turner Street Extension North of Cedar Street has reopened after the work done preparing for the new bridge. Traffic flowing a little easier these days!
