New Mobile Property Search

Searching the Carteret County Multiple Listing Service just got better, with the introduction of a mobile version of the MLS search.
Over the next few days we will be introducing more links using this capability on our home page.
Go and experiment on your iPhone or other mobile device and search some of the quick links on our home page.
You can try one such as the Beaufort link featuring properties with asking prices in Beaufort of $300,000 to $500,000 here.
The mobile interface is really elegant, and easy to use.

Fishing
I have added Sensation Sportfishing to my list of charters. Last night after a brief conversation with Dale Britt about the great fall fishing, he noted his fishing report. I took a look and thought it a worthwhile resource. Click the link and check it out for your self.
Beaufort’s newest Business coming in March 2012.
At the corner of Front and Queen sits 525 Front Street, which will be the site of “Beaufort Market and Deli”, a concept of Irvin Warren’s, one of Beaufort’s newest residents. As Irvin tells it, there was no place to grab a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk convenient to Beaufort’s Waterfront.
Also having a deli as a component of the Market was crucial, enabling customers to get a great deli sandwich, or a pound of meat and cheese.
We look forward to the opening.

Why Beaufort?

Living in Beaufort provides residents opportunities not necessarily afforded others. Case in point. Monday morning the weather was excellent, with fair seas and light winds. So faced with a day off, we hopped on the boat and headed the 60 plus miles up to Ocracoke for a little fresh seafood diner.
Our friends never having never been to the island, wanted to catch a little sight seeing, so off we went to the light house. It’s fun, and renting a golf cart helps out in the heat.
On the way back to the hotel, we caught a little local color, checking in with Fatboy’s Seafood Truck!

The yellow pollen is almost gone. Folks are washing it off their outdoor furniture, windows and doors; the flowers are blooming; boats are getting prepped for the season. Lot’s of activity around town.

Harbor Specialties has moved in to the old Taylor’s Big Mug Building, next to Stampers, across from the Dock House. Patti at Tierra Fina has moved in to the old Century 21 location on Front Street, coming over from her Turner Street location.
Painting, up-fitting and spring cleaning has been the order of the day for Beaufort. Go by and see them next time you are in town. And George at Island traders has some cool new Patagonia stuff to add to his lineup. Spring is here in Beaufort. Come see us.
